Austria - Stefan Gubi New Sales and Service Director

Stefan Gubi (45) is taking over the responsibility for Sales and Service in T-Mobile Austria’s Board of Management. He will be in charge of the whole consumer and business customer sales segment as well as service for both brands - T-Mobile and tele.ring. Born in Upper Austria, Stefan Gubi joins the other 5 members of T-Mobile Austria's management team.

Years of industry experience
During the mid-1980s, Stefan Gubi graduated from the college for communications engineering at HTL Mödling. He then started his career in the sales unit of Schrack Elektronik AG. After their acquisition by Ericsson he covered a range of positions in the company until in 1995, he became Head of Sales for Austria. In 1996/97 he took over the position of Managing Director at Ericsson Vertriebs und Service GmbH and became a member of senior management of Ericsson Austria AG. Due to his management buy-out in 1998 Stefan Gubi became the owner and a member of senior management of Schrack Business Com AG - now known as Kapsch Business Com AG.

After its merger with Kapsch in 2001 he headed up the Sales unit and co-owned Kapsch BusinessCom AG, before moving into the media industry in July 2003. There he became Managing Director of Landesverlag Holding and the newspaper "Oberösterreichische Rundschau". Two years later he took over the position of Managing Director at AKG Acoustics GmbH, where he was in charge of managing the global coordination of all distribution partners and played a significant role in expanding the global sales network. In January 2010 he was awarded the "Grammy", the most prestigious symbol of industry recognition in Austria.
